a little more info

I'm currently a data systems test engineer at Virgin Orbit where I test our rocket engines. I love the intersection between software and hardware and seeing how the end to end of the system works.
I graudated from UCSD in 2018 with a background in electrical engineering and have since gravitated towards software. Outside of work, I circulate through a variety of hobbies including painting, playing piano & guitar, and skateboarding.

Out in the sandy Mojave deserts, I work as a data systems test engineer to develop our data acquisition software, from software to hardware. The control software provides console operators direct control of the engine during testing and ensures we capture the necessary data to validate our system.

I also maintain the health of the stand, often troubleshooting instrumentation health and verifying end to end connections. From working behind the scenes to interacting directly with the hardware, I get a holistic view of our system.

skills: LabVIEW, NI cDAQ/PXI hardware, instrumentation (pressure transducer, thermocouples/RTDs, accelerometers, valves), python

Personal Website

personal website

What you see right now is my first attempt at making a website! From the first moment I accidentally opened a website console and played around with the functions, I've wanted to try building a website from scratch myself.

I started off with the basic HTML and gradually became familiar with utilizing CSS. Now I'm in the process of refining my JavaScript skills and I plan on continually improving this page as my skillset grows.

skills: HTML, CSS, Javascript

LabVIEW Ferris Wheel

ferris wheel

For my first exposure to LabVIEW is implementing a state machine architecture to simulate an elevator. To make it a standalone product, the code was uploaded to a myRIO Student Embedded Device.

skills: LabVIEW, lasercutting, 3D printing

TRITEIA SEDS

triteia seds

I worked on TRITEIA, a semi-autonomous chemically propelled 6U CubeSat which competed through the final round of the NASA’s Cube Quest Challenge.

My primary role was creating the entire 3D model assembly of the cubesat. The chassis model was then used to create the CNC'ed panels that we assembled for other teams' testing.

skills: SolidWorks

Pinball Machine

pinball machine

Probably one of the most fun conceptual projects I've ever worked on is creating my own pinball machine. It utilizes an Arduino Mega to control DC and servo motors, solenoids, sensors and LEDs to keep the game going.

It was a great first experience to learn rapid prototyping skills (3D printing, lasercutting) to build a final product within 10 weeks.

skills: SolidWorks, lasercutting, 3D printing, Arduino coding
